There has been so much talk about resveratrol and what it can do to promote good health. But, what can it really do? Some scientific research has went as far to suggest that it might even be able to inhibit strokes. Resveratrol is one of the most popular, recent discoveries. It is known for it’s multiple possible health benefits, and can be easily taken in supplement form.
So, how can resveratrol help to inhibit strokes? Well, research suggests that resveratrol dilates the neural blood vessels and increases the amount of blood to the brain. A stroke usually occurs when blood clots form within the brain and disrupt the regular amount of blood flow. They can also occur when an artery in the brain pops and/or bursts. It is a very common occurrence, and can be corrected by taking a resveratrol supplement.
However, this research has only been performed on rats, but the surprising thing is that it worked. Research as found that while performing such studies, the rat’s brains displayed neuroprotective effects by creating no stimulation or formation within the brain, which is what increases the cerebral blood flow. Scientists have also noted that the nitric oxide located with the brain of the particular group of rats the resveratrol was administered to was 25% greater in comparison to others which did not receive any resveratrol. Nitric oxide is what helps to contribute to the relaxation of the endothelium, thus, causing dilation of the blood vessels, and contributing to increased blood flow. So, there is actually more than one way resveratrol can help to prevent strokes.
There is no reason to believe that this same method would not be at least slightly successful on humans. Another way in which resveratrol may be able to inhibit a stroke and/or heart attack is because it contains polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants which prevent fat buildup in the arteries. Resveratrol also gives the blood a less “sticky” texture, also helping to assist in the prevention of possible blood clots. Did you know that every 45 seconds, another person in America will die of a stroke?
It doesn’t make sense not to take something for your body that could potentially help you to live a longer life. We already know that resveratrol adds years to a person’s life due to it’s total anti-aging effects. And we’re not just talking about the look and texture of the skin- there are wrinkle creams for that. We are talking about the body’s internal organs- the heart, brain, lungs, liver, pancreas, reproductive organs, intestinal tract, colon, etc. Everything is reversed to some extent and the clock is turned back, making everything work better.
When you look at all of this information in relation to stroke prevention, you can have some confidence that there is at least some hope of a possibility. Resveratrol is the newest craze, and for good reason. Who wouldn’t be excited about getting to live longer and have a healthier, happier life? And besides, it is natural and extremely safe to take. You get what you give with resveratrol, and that is obviously a whole lot!
